Creating Hair Color Streaks
Introduction:
In this tutorial, we'll learn to take a person's photograph and add color streaks to the hair. This is great for anyone who is wondering what their own hair might look like with hair streaks.
Step-By-Step:
1. Open the photograph in Photoshop.

2. Click the "Edit in Quick Mask Mode" button.
3. Choose black as your foreground color and select a small brush.
4. Zoom in on the hair that you want to turn into a streak and begin painting over the surface.

5. As you paint, it will be a transparent red color. This is normal in Quick Mask mode.
6. When you are done, click "Edit in Standard Mode" button.
7. Goto Select > Inverse. The hair color is now selected.

8. Goto Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation.
9. Move the Hue slider to get the hair color that you want.

10. Click OK to close the Hue/Saturation pop-up.
11. Click Ctrl+D to deselect.
