Adding Mascara

Introduction:

In this tutorial, we'll learn to add mascara to a person's eyes in a photograph to give the appearance of heavier eye lashes.

Step-By-Step:

1. Open the photograph in Photoshop. Create a new layer and name it "Mascara".

2. Choose the Eye Dropper tool and select the shade of existing eyelashes so that it is your selected color.

3. Choose the Brush tool, choose a small size brush, and begin painting/filling in the eye lashes.

4. Begin making upward strokes with the brush tool as shown in the image below:

5. Select the Smudge Tool and choose a larger size brush.

6. Begin smudging with upward strokes so that the eye lashes fade out as they go away from the eye.

7. Select the Brush tool and create some small dots on the lower lid of the eye.

8. Select the Smudge Tool and choose a larger size brush.

9. Begin smudging with downward strokes away from the eye.

10. When you are done, the eyes should now have the added mascara to the photograph.
